Hope Scout didn't give up on the tigers like we all did lastnight? We're up going into the 9th. Nope, got it on the computer. Looking good.

I don't know how much you watched but did ya notice it was Scherzer starting and Fister in relief? Leyland is trying to keep the starters sharp and keep his options open for the post-season rotation. I think we've seen Penny for the last time this year too.

Before the game started they said that was the plan, nothing about Penny though. Also talking about Martinez on 1st and Cabrera on 3rd.

They are really waiting to see if Albaquerque ( Doubt I spelled it right) can go. Betemit is having issues with a hip too they say. Check your pm's.

Cabby was a third baseman when we got him but his defense was supposedly not so good. I can see the point though, we should try to get all of the big hammers in the lineup and let Inge ride the bench

The point they made was that if Martinez is in the lineup, Cabrera won't get intentionally walked as much. I'm getting into learning baseball strategy, especially post season strategy. Not much more to learn about Football or hockey. I'm interested in baseball now.

Who was that starting pitcher? Never seen him before. He makes Penny look good.

I think he was some kid they called up to fill a start so they can get their starting rotation figured out for the playoffs. Just a guess. Damn Orioles took the lead again.

Didn't miss much. They started a minor league 20 year old pitcher who gave up 4 runs in 3 or 4 innings. Avila didn't play and Leyland played a few more pitchers to see what they have for roster changes come post season. Only positive is (let me try this name again) Albuquerque pitched for the first time in awhile.
