Nothing to do with fishing but I wanted to share a few of photos. We are building a retirement house in the Philippines and while the first story is concrete, the second floor is wood and the framing material is all mahogany. Fresh cut in the jungle at 8/4 and lengths up to 20'. All for $0.55 per board feet, delivered. It is all harvested and dimensioned using a chain saw and then hand planed on site. There will be well over 500 bf used. The only power tool on site. Be nice to finish and get my shop built. Only thing is woodworking lathes and equipment are difficult to find and expensive to buy here. Sure would like to do some turning with all the exotic wood available. Ol' Goat

Sorry, but that's just wrong. That should be prominently displayed as boat trim, not hidden behind drywall. Wait - do they use drywall? Or are the walls paneled with mahogany too?
