I thought the whole holiday weekend was going to pass me by without an opportunity for me to catch some fish, but it got up at 5:30 this morning and hit my lake about 6:15. By 8:00 I was limited out. The gills were on fire. They weren't very big but made up for it in volume.

I checked the beds a week ago and there was nobody home. Yesterday there were hundreds of fish there. All but one were males, so the females probably haven't come in yet. Right? I think that's how it works.

My parent's lake had hundreds of gills on the beds! Was easy picking for my 3 year old. He had a blast and so did I.

I gotta get my grand kids out there while it's hot. A Snoopy pole is all you need right now.
