This is next on the project list for me. I've seen many pics of different types. I don't want to go too tall so I'm thinking of building the A-frame style trellis with each side 4'x 4'. I'd put 4 cuke plants on each side and let them grow towards eachother. I never planned on attempting any greens since there will be tons of varmint damage in this garden, but if I attach wire mesh on the openings at each side, I could try romaine lettuce (really want to try romaine) spinach and any other shade loving greens.
I've also looked into ways of supporting pole beans. Could do the same style as for the cukes and utilize the space under it too. then there are the ones who stake down one poles and let them climb it, doesn't look the best to me. How about posts with a wire all the way accross every foot or so?
Anyone here have any pics or ideas

I'm going to build the a frame trellis. The roomates have some lattice (sp?) laying behind the shed that I think I'll be able to use so all I need is the framing boards I priced at home depot for $1.37 a piece. Then I'll use chickenwire to block the sides off so I can grow lettuce under it.

I let mine grow on the fence. Easy breezy.
