A guy from youtube and the gardening forum has some of these seeds he got mailed to him from someone else. I think he is starting them in his greenhouse this week or next. A friend of mine has a video of his coworker eating a whole habanero and that looked bad enough, but these are way hotter. I have heard you can go blind forever is you get the Bhut Jolokia aka Ghost chile in your eye. I plan on trying a couple habaneros this year with the intent of drying and grinding the fruit to make an organic bug spray. It would also come in handy for when I find someone with way too big of a bait pile next fall. ;D So Skully, are you going to grow and try to eat one of these? May go nicely with some mushrooms?

the ghost pepper is dangerous....... it can give you intestinal damage ..... they are the hottest thing that occurs in nature and its what they use to make some pepper-sprays

I wonder what kind of pepper is in the BBQ sauce I had lastnight? It's kind of a running joke with family and friends how much I sweat when I smell or taste spicey foods. I love the taste normally, but I have a towel nearby. Lastnight I was at Famous Dave's restaurant and decided to try Wilbur's revenge xxx hot BBQ sauce. I sweat a couple gallons, but the results later in the bathroom were something fierce. I think this stuff could fire up a top fuel dragster and push it accross the line. Hotter than any hot sauce I have ever tried. It was worse than straight habanero.

Are you familiar with OP vs Hybrid? Good chance you have Hybrid if bought from the store. You may end up with no or funky fruit.

do you have a greenhouse or a small set up in the house? I ask because peppers in general and especially the hotter ones take a long time to grow. If you are starting from seed you will need to start them inside pretty soon. If you were planning on starting from seed outside, you will never get fruit. Pepper seeds need warmer soil to germinate than a tomato for example. Those pepper seeds will sit in the outside soil forever before sprouting in late June or July.
